Zachary Smith | Shareholder

Professional Experience

Zac is a senior member of McDonough’s Litigation Practice Group. He is a Martindale-Hubbell AV-rated attorney and, for more than 30 years, has conducted jury trials, bench trials and arbitration hearings in a broad range of cases and in a variety of settings. He has considerable experience in business litigation generally and in representing financial institutions in loan enforcement actions, in “workout” situations and in the defense of lender liability allegations specifically. In addition to representing lenders, developers, contractors, retailers, manufacturers and corporate employers, Zac has served as a judge pro tem, arbitrator and mediator for the Placer County Superior and Municipal Courts, the Nevada County Superior Court, the El Dorado County Superior Court and the American Arbitration Association.

Prior to Zac’s legal work he was a carpenter for a residential homebuilder in the Santa Clara Valley and an English teacher at Head Royce School in Oakland, California.
